1. Weanling cut off date is April 1, 2010

2. Same horse, same exhibitor both days.

3. Each entry fee represents the total payment required to show in a futurity class. Entries postmarked

after each deadline date will be assessed the next deadline fee.

4. No entry fee refunds - no exceptions.

5. Exhibitors must show both days to be eligible for awards.

6. All Futurity entries must enter corresponding AQHA class, except weanlings.

7. Non-Pro classes are open to any AQHA/WVQHA amateur or youth members.

8. Incomplete entry forms will be returned. Horse/exhibitor will not be considered entered until all

requested information and fees are received. These include the completed application, horse’s AQHA

registration papers, owner and exhibitor’s AQHA cards and a current WVQHA membership for owner

and exhibitor.

9. All decisions by the Futurity Chairperson(s) are final. 

LONGE LINE CLASSIC RULES - WESTERN AND HUNTER

1. This class is open to any yearling stallion, mare or gelding and will be conducted on the longe line

as an individual performance class for pleasure prospects.

2. Exhibitors will enter the arena when called and will work their horse, one at a time, at the walk, jog

and the lope in both directions. Hunt seat prospects are to be shown in braided manes at the walk, trot

and canter.

3. Selection and duration of the gaits is at the discretion of the exhibitor, however, all horses must be

shown at all three gaits in both directions.

4. Exhibitors must dress in accordance with regular AQHA halter class regulations. Hunt seat attire is

desirable for hunt seat longe line exhibitors.

5. Longe line candidates should exhibit the qualities of a pleasure horse prospect and will be judged

accordingly. Entries will be judged 70% on performance and 30% on conformation. Momentary breaks

in gait or attention are not penalized unless it is a result of the horse’s physical or mental deficiencies.

6. Entries are to be shown in show halter with the longe line attached to the side or center ring. The longe

line may not be over the nose, under the chin or over the poll, but rather must hang freely from the halter. 

Payback / Awards

There will be a 70% payback in all classes plus any added money as per the class sponsor’s request. The

winners will have earned the highest number of points over the two day show using the AQHA World Show

point system. Payback distribution is as follows:

Classes with 15 or more entries:

1^st - 33%, 2^nd - 20%, 3^rd - 14%, 4^th - 10%, 5^th - 8%, 6^th - 6%, 7^th - 5%, 8^th - 4%

Classes with 5-14 entries: 1^st - 40%, 2^nd - 25%, 3^rd - 20%, 4^th - 10%, 5^th - 5%.

Classes with 3-4 entries: 1^st - 50%, 2^nd - 30%, 3^rd - 20%

**If only 1 horse showing, the 1st place horse will receive 100% of payback, plus any added money for that class.

**If 2 horses showing, the 1st place horse will receive 60%, the 2nd place horse will receive 40% of payback
